Noah Bean

Actor

Noah Bean is best known for starring as ‘David Connor,’ a first year surgical intern on the popular series DAMAGES from FX and Sony Pictures. Bean’s character was unwittingly pulled into a high-stakes legal case when his fiancé, Ellen (Rose Byrne), joins legal legend Patty Hewes’ (Glenn Close) cutthroat firm. DAMAGES was critically acclaimed by Entertainment Weekly Magazine (June 4th, 2007) and dubbed as the second hottest new show of the summer. Brendan Bernhard of the New York Sun said, "DAMAGES is a satisfyingly twisty tale about power, greed, manipulation, and lies — all the good, juicy stuff that keeps cities and dramas humming.” The series also garnered the best lead-in retention levels of any drama premiere for the network. Bean’s other television credits include a recurring role on ED where he played Tim Cooper, as well as guest-starring on the award winning shows NUMB3RS, CRUMBS (with Fred Savage), JOAN OF ARCADIA, LAW & ORDER: SVU and the daytime drama GUIDING LIGHT.

In 2005, he appeared in the Marc Forster film STAY with Ewan MacGregor, Ryan Gosling, and Naomi Watts from Fox/New Regency, in which renowned New York psychiatrist, Sam Foster (MacGregor), tries to reach his patient before he kills himself on his 21st birthday. In his attempt to track him down, Sam is drawn into the world of his patient’s obsessions, struggling to maintain his own grip on reality while attempting to understand that of the person he is trying to save.

On the New York stage, Bean has most recently starred in YELLOW FACE, a wild satire about cultural identity, which was extended an additional two weeks due to popular demand. In addition, he has starred in KID SIMPLE, AMERIKA, CRAZY JANE ON GOD, MOON CHILDREN, MARY ROSE, VOYAGE OF THE CARCASS, and THE MAPMAKER’S SORROW with regional credits including ROMANCE, OUR TOWN, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, THE WINTER’S TALE, PHILADELPHIA, HERE I COME! and LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST. Daily Variety’s May 23rd, 2006 review of LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST comments that “Making up for what may be lacking in narrative development is the richness of the play's poetry and wordplay, especially that of Berowne (Noah Bean), the brightest of the king's men, who sees right away the futility of the challenge but goes along anyway (what with royal peer pressure and all). Bean is captivating, delivering the play's best speeches with clarity, thought and assured grace.”

A native of Mystic, Conn., Bean is a graduate of Boston University’s School of Fine Arts. His training also includes the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
